Landex is a second-generation, family-run working nursery — not a big-box garden center — that’s supplied Monmouth County for over 40 years. Much of what we sell is grown and finished right on our Freehold property, which means healthier, better-acclimated plants and prices that cut out the middleman. Homeowners, landscapers and contractors are all welcome.

Prices are per plant and subject to change & availability. Orders over 100 units receive 3% off. We accept cash, debit, credit, Apple/Samsung Pay & wire transfer — no checks. Orders over 100 units earn a 3% discount. As one of Monmouth County’s steady volume suppliers, our everyday prices are already grower-direct and fair — so the bulk discount is simply a thank-you for big projects, not a sign we’re trying to clear the yard. You’re always getting healthy, well-grown plants at an honest price.
Ask about volume pricing →A new planting lives or dies by its watering. Once a plant leaves our yard, watering and ongoing care are the caretaker’s (customer’s) responsibility. Because a plant’s survival depends entirely on that care, all sales are final — Landex offers no warranty and no returns, as stated on your receipt. We’re always glad to share planting & watering guidance before you go.

New plantings need consistent water to survive. Once a tree, shrub or plant leaves our yard, watering and ongoing care are the caretaker’s (customer’s) responsibility. Because a plant’s survival depends entirely on that care, Landex Nursery does not offer a warranty or returns — all sales are final, as stated on your receipt.
We genuinely want every plant to thrive, so we’re always happy to walk you through proper planting, placement and watering before you leave. Deep, regular watering through the first season makes all the difference.
No plant is truly “deer-proof,” but hungry deer tend to pass these by. Great picks include Green Giant arborvitae, cryptomeria, eastern red cedar, boxwood, juniper, spruce, barberry, bayberry, catmint, coreopsis and ornamental grasses.
For those tricky low-light spots, lean on hosta, astilbe, coral bells, andromeda, aucuba, hydrangea, holly, boxwood, rhododendron, azalea, cryptomeria and liriope.
Near the shore or a salted driveway? Tough, salt-tolerant choices include eastern red cedar, bayberry, rugosa rose, juniper, yucca and inkberry holly.
Fall is one of the best times to plant in New Jersey. Warm soil with cool air lets roots establish without summer heat stress, autumn rain means less watering, and plants spend the dormant season settling in — so they wake up next spring already established and ready to grow. Selection is strong in fall, too. Plant any time the ground isn’t frozen, and water well until it is.
